Quilt Parts is now a reality and I am so excited! After 27 years of teaching, I am ready for a new adventure and I can't think of a better one than being able to play with fabric all day long!

You may wonder about our name. It was my husband's idea - really! We took a trip to Eureka Springs, Arkansas a few years ago. While there, Dennis waited patiently as I looked at stores that sold handmade quilts.
When we were leaving Eureka Springs, I pulled out my quilter's travel book and told him we needed to stop at the quilt store in Rogers and Fayetteville and.... He was shocked! More quilt stores? When I replied that we hadn't visited any quilt stores yet, he reminded me of all that time waiting as I looked at handmade quilts.
I explained that those were not "quilt stores". A quilt store has fabric and thread and rulers - oh my! The light of understanding shone in his eyes and he said, "Oh, like an auto parts store doesn't sell cars. It's a quilt parts store!"
And so, a name was born!
Needless to say, we made numerous stops at quilt part stores on our trek back home.
